Magazine

I was searching Ravelry for a cardigan that was lace , from the top down and in fine yarn. Well I found that there was one in a magazine which is quite hard to get here in Port Augusta . I was trying to find were I could just order this copy and not subscribe for a year. I found that it had been offered as a free download because it was an anniversary issue. I have put the link at the top of the page, You have to down load a file a bit like adobe but its well worth it the file has some lovely patterns and they print out clearly. I have ordered some nice yarn from an Australian site which has 100% merino yarn for cardigan in midnight blue colour. while I was on this site I also ordered some lace shawl yarn called schoppel wool in a blue tone. I don't know what I will knit from this but I will have fun testing patterns.

I know its last years magazine but you have to remember I can't get the knitter's magazine here !

Moebius done

It is finished and was not that hard really. I put it on and Wayne took the photo, it was quite hot but I only had to wear it for a short time. I think it will look good with my winter coat, I just have to wait until summer finishes.

I was really bored on new years eve. I had spent christmas in Adelaide with our sons. Its 350 km from here and traveling really hurts due to my back injury. So I spent the week after christmas bed ridden. I am able to sit up now so I wanted something new to try. I found this pattern on Ravelry by Birgit Freyer called wave of colour. I brought the pattern then looked at you tube to see how to do the cast on. I found the moebius cast on by Cat Bordhi Intro to Moebius Knitting. It took three try's to get it right. I have now completed a few rounds and you really need the marker. I probably should have started with a plain one instead of a lace pattern but I was in need of a challenge. I just hope it looks all right when I have finished.

Flowers

While Wayne was watering the plants in our shade house he found this plant hidden in the back. It was flowering away unnoticed. It has been the hottest new years day yesterday for 100 year so the plants in the shade house were suffering from the heat. We have brought this plant inside under the cooler so we can enjoy the lovely flowers.
