What a Day

I had just finished posting my pen pattern and Wayne decided he needed parts of the car he is playing with. So off to whyalla (73 km away) we go. with his mum and dad. I just love going there because they have a craft store which we don't here in Port Augusta. I usually write a list of things i need but this time there was no time. I get into spotlight and all there beads were half price. I had a great time.

My Chain Maille

Last night I was busy trying to master chain maille sheet to use in a dice bag for my son's. I can't tell you how hard it was to get the rings in the right spot but I have sort of mastered it. What do you think ?
I few weeks ago I was watching you tube. I like to see if there is something new that I can try. I get very bored due to my illness I am unable to do a lot. I found this clip of a girl making flowers from a round frame and Raffia. I have this great elderly friend who has tried most crafts so I asked her if she had ever seen the flower looms, of-course she had two and was happy to give them to me with the raffia. The above flowers are my first try. I liked making them but can't think what to do with them now.

My Baby Girl

This is my little girl Peanut. she is wearing her jumper made from left over sock yarn. We found her  easter Sunday 1997 on a very busy bridge . She spends her day sitting on my knee while I knit. She loves it when the knitting grows to be a blanket .

Sock Knitting

I am in the process of knitting another pair of socks for my fantastic husband Wayne. I have knitted quite a few pairs of toe up socks but this is the first time I have knitted a pair using The colin's sock Kal group pattern. It looks like a great toe up sock.

Sock Yarn

I was lucky to get these four balls of sock yarn from knit picks for only $25.00 with a pattern book of toe up socks.  To order from Australia the exchange rate is usually high but at the moment the Aussie dollar is parity so I went a bit mad and now have lots of work to do.
