Going Green
Our Solar panels have been fitted, our power meter is running backwards.
We are not getting paid for our excess power yet .We are still waiting to get our house meter changed, that is supposed to happen tomorrow. The Power we are making is more than enough for our house which should mean that we have very low bills. which will be great.

Side to Side jumper
I had this yarn I brought as a bag of 18 balls cheap. I didn't then know what to make out of it so it sat in my craft room for over a year waiting. I need a jacket to wear to quilting and such , I searched the patterns on Ravelry and found a side to side jacket that would look better out of coloured yarn but it was the right weight and I had plenty to make it so here is what I have made so far. It a very easy pattern to follow and because its thick yarn it knits up fast and the short rows mean you are only knitting a few stitches each row.
you start with a chain cast on for the left side and then cast on for the sleeve and again for the back . very interesting to knit because you are knitting the whole jacket at once.I have a link below if you are interested in having a go your self.

Wall hanging
Lorna's Flower garden
My wall hanging is finally finished. I am so happy with how it looks. I finished it off with some beads and buttons that were from my grand mother who died last year, She was my inspiration for all my craft work, because with our her lessons I would not be able to do half the crafts I do now. Since my back injury I have had lots of time to perfect my knitting , crochet and quilting which she taught me how to do when I was a child. I have gone on to teach myself beading and tatting. I spent most of my school holidays on the farm with her because my parents both worked full time. I had the best time helping her warp up her table loom and collecting things to use to make dye for wool we were spinning. So I have named this wall hanging after Lorna , The best grand mother any one could want...

Socks
I have been trying out the magic loop method to knit two socks at a time.
Its amazing how fast it is, I finished one pair in three days. I have started another pair the same because I I brought two balls of yarn for $5.00 and will get two and a bit pairs out of it. Wayne is quite happy to have two pairs the same colour , I have made the toes different on each pair. If you knit sock and have not tried the magic loop method have a go its fantastic and so easy . Here is the site I use http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/2mlsocks_start.htm
I only make toe up socks but you can use the loop for top down as well.

Something new
I am always looking for new crafts to try. Late last year I ordered a micro macramé jewellery kit. I had to wait until now because it was on back order. I had looked at the instructions just before Easter , and showed Carly while she was visiting and she loved the bracelets. The kit has enough beads and cord to make two bracelets and one chocker.
I had made some macramé when I was a teenager ,(That was a while ago now) I am happy with how it's shaping up so far.
