Fibre dying

Had a great time last weekend dying 1 kg of 21 micron Merino roving. I am selling them in the gallery, if they don't sell I will spin them ready to use for knitting etc.   I just love how the colours work together.

Platform Gallery

our new gallery here in Port Augusta has been open for the past few months. Its the most amazing gallery now with lovely open space which is light and airy, there is no comparison with the old gallery. We have been donated a 4 shaft loom which has not been used for years. Debi and I warped it up with a test warp. its all there and weaves well.

Inkle Loom

I have received my new inkle loom from the USA. I just love it because the thread can't fall off while you are weaving.

Machine Knitting

I have spent the last month or so learning how to use a knitting Machine. I always thought using a machine to knit was easy and not worth the same as knitting by hand but I have had to rethink this. I have packed it all up and have had Wayne put it out in the shed but after calming down again I have tried it again. Over the last few days I have managed to make some thing more constructive than a hat. I have packed it away for the Christmas break because I have things to finish and the knitting machine can waste a day so easily.
