mosaic

I have posted in the past all about our pergola extension. Well it's looking great now the paving is finished. I have been busy making Mosaic panels to break up  the paving and gravel. 

This Photo below shows the fourth slab nearly finished 

Here are the first three in place I think they look good.

Cactus

I posted a photo of this cactus flowering in December. I thought you might be interested to see that its still doing its thing. The flowers have now formed small plants that are on the top of the stalk but the poor plant at the bottom is dying.You can get some idea how tall it is with Wayne who is 5ft, 6 ( he says, I'd say 5ft 4)standing next to it. You would not believe it but it is winter time but its still Dry.

I have made so many glove I have now made my own pattern. My pattern is a bit different no finger bits. 

Even more gloves

I have been asked to make another pair of finger less gloves. I feel like I am having déjà vu . I have now made four pairs in the last month.

Beading

I have just finished this lanyard. I found it very hard to get a good photo of it with out the beads shining back. I used a bit of a different mix of beads than the pattern listed but isn't that why we bead to make it our own neck lace. I could not get up and go through all my magazines to give the magazine and date I got this pattern from but at the bottom of this there is a pic of the cover I think it must have been 2010 when I brought the magazine. I loved this lanyard it was made in two parts with chevron and st peters berg  weave.

Entrelac

Here is my home spun wool .I finally finished the two plaits and plied it with sewing embroidery thread because I didn't want to lose the colour change and if I had plied it together I would have had half the quantity. Entrelac stitch seems to show off the colour the best I think.
