Bamboo Socks

I brought this bamboo Wendy Yarn while I was  away at my retreat. It was fantastic and soft yarn but it did split a bit. I made them using the magic loop two at a time. If you look close you will see I made one form the middle of the ball and one from the outside of the ball, the colour repeat is different.

The wonky blanket

I was given 6 balls of multi-coloured baby pompom yarn and 2 balls of white pompom. I thought it would make a great floor blanket for our grand baby who is due in November. I had heaps so thought a rectangle would be good and because this yarn is a pain to cast I decided on a corner up . I had it all worked out I would knit two balls for the corner then go straight to the opposite corner and decrease to one stitch. some how this is what it looked like
I have no idea what is did wrong but I reversed knitted back to the triangle and started again this time making a square blanket which is what I should have started making.

I now have a lovely cuddle Rug waiting for a grand child or a friends grand child maybe.
Do you love my slippers?

Once its all painted green it will look fantastic and Jay can now go a collect the mail with Wayne. He is still a but scared leaving the front door because he not been allowed out the front before the fence was up.  What do you Think Kathy and Alberta ?

I finally finished the quilt as you go quilt. It took me a lot longer than most people because I can't sew at the machine for long periods of time. I hope Carly likes it .

Lacy Thingy's

Baby booty
At Quilting yesterday I was given these three kits to put together for our soup night fundraiser for cancer research on Wednesday night. The kits included chenille sticks lace and plastic beads. You cut the sticks to length then threaded on the lace and beads and closed into a ring. The pattern said to glue the bits together but I used a needle and thread , mainly because I was to lazy to get out the hot glue gun . I was amazed how easy they were to make and I think they all look cute.

Basket I can see Carly wanting these for her wedding with lollies in side

Fence

Our fence is progressing quite fast really. Wayne and his dad are working on it as often as his dad can because he is busy with pensioner groups. I am happy with the colour Wayne brought to paint it when its all up. It will be a dark green.

Cot Quilt

While we were traveling back from the retreat Helen and I saw a lovely cot quilt in a quilt shop. they had run out of the fabric but we took a photo so that when Helen got the fabric I could make it for her. We then went to Spot light in Mt Barker and they had all the fabric we were looking for . I used the photo as a guide but changed it just a little but because we wanted a slightly bigger one. The range of fabric is called the very hunger Caterpillar . I took three days at quilting to finish it. I hope Helen is happy with it !

Socks

I have finished another pair of socks for a friend in Quorn in the Flinders rangers . They are made out of some of the dyed yarn we made late last year. Roz in not able to knit them herself, She tied to make crocheted ones but they are very hard on your feet. She is a fantastic friend so I was very happy to knit two pairs for her. I hope she is happy with them and I forgot them last time I went to Chester's free range chooks our craft group in Quorn.

Knitted hats

I was asked if I could knit a hat with a brim. I found some lovely free patterns on Ravelry. I am not sure that I like the end results. Wayne was good enough to wear them for me. I think the blue one looks best on the cat who is sitting in Wayne's lap.
